Smarthistory and Portland Art Museum get together and talk about technology

I first found out about Smarthistory last month and have been loving this website ever since! It was very exciting for me to find out that the Portland Art Museum (also my upcoming summer internship location, and Smarthistory have recently met to conduct unique dialogue sessions. I found it most interesting that Smarthistory expressed in its blog how their staff was able to demonstrate to the curatorial and education departments at the Portland Art Museum strategies for creating engaging interpretive content as well as how to publish video for in-gallery and web distribution. PAM, like many museums across the U.S., want to incorporate technology and multimedia into programming and exhibitions, but may be unaware that there are many ways this can be accomplished that are cost-effective and require little tech-y skill and knowledge.

You can read more about this unique collaboration by visiting the Smarthistory blog.
